Cholesterol and Red Yeast Rice

My medical doctor was insistent that I take a Staten drug to bring down my cholesterol. She was very concerned about my health if I did not lower my cholesterol. I told her I wanted to try a different way. She went along with me and even suggested Red yeast Rice. However, after three months, I went back for more blood work but never did take the red yeast rice. At this point, my cholesterol was even HIGHER than before. I told her that I wanted to try one more time to lower my cholesterol on my own and this time I would take the Red yeast Rice for sure. She said that at this point, the Rice would not help lower my cholesterol. Well I told her I was NOT going to take the drugs she suggested for me, so she just gave me a lab slip and told me to have blood work done in another three months.
So I diligently started on the Red yeast Rice along with C0Q10-75. I took this for about 10 weeks, along with eating better, then went and had my blood work done again. I was determined to prove her wrong.
The day after I had the blood work done, the doctor called with the lab report results and the only thing she said was
"Your cholesterol and triglycerides readings have improved considerably. Whatever it is you are doing, keep it up"
So, I'm hooked on the Red yeast Rice. It has made a BIG difference for me.
